BFA Suspends Events

The Broadcasters Foundation of America regrettably is suspending this year’s Annual Breakfast and the Philip J. Lombardo Charity Golf Tournament, in conjunction with the National Association of Broadcaster’s postponement of its Show in Las Vegas.

Both Foundation events traditionally are held during the NAB Show in Vegas. Along with NAB leadership, the Broadcasters Foundation Board of Directors has been carefully monitoring coronavirus developments and is putting the health and safety of the broadcast community first.

Rescheduling of the Philip J. Lombardo Charity Golf Tournament and the Broadcasters Foundation Breakfast, which includes presentation of the Leadership Awards and the Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award, will be announced as more information becomes available.

The Broadcasters Foundation has distributed millions of dollars in aid to broadcasters who have lost their livelihood through a catastrophic event, debilitating disease or unforeseen tragedy. Personal donations can be made to the Foundation’s Guardian Fund, corporate contributions are accepted through the Angel Initiative, and bequests can be made through the Foundation’s Legacy Society.
