The Triton Digital Ranker provides a monthly listing of the top-performing digital audio stations and networks measured by the Webcast Metrics audience measurement platform. According to the May 2016 Top 20 Ranker*:
- The Cumulus streaming network audience is up overall, with average active sessions increasing 10% over the prior year.
- Session starts on the Cumulus streaming network are up 13% over the prior year.
- Time spent listening to the Cumulus streaming network is up 3% over the prior year. Overall, time spent listening to the Cumulus streaming network is higher than the three largest digital audio networks: iHeartRadio, Pandora, and Spotify.
“AM/FM radio listeners are devoted to their favorite radio programs, personalities, and stations -- whether they listen over the air or online,” said Suzanne Grimes, Westwood One’s President and EVP, Corporate Marketing for Cumulus Media. “Cumulus’ over-the-air audience was up 25% in the May 2016 PPM compared to May 2015. It’s exciting that our over-the-air audience growth translated to a 10% increase in our streaming audience.”
