Tim Roberts
CBS RADIO Detroit announced today that veteran programmer Tim Roberts has been named the Vice President of Music Programming for Country WYCD 00.5 FM, Classic Hits WOMC 104.9 FM and for Top40 WDZH 98.7 AMP Radio.

Roberts previously held the title of Operations Manager/Program Director for the three stations.

On June 22, 2016, Roberts was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame at a ceremony held in Nashville, Tennessee. Country Mega Stars “Big and Rich” honored Tim at the ceremony and officially inducted him into the CRHOF.

Debbie Kenyon, Senior Vice President/Market Manager, CBS RADIO Detroit said, “Tim has been instrumental in the success of our cluster.  His passion for radio and his winning track record make him perfect for this position.”

“It’s truly been a whirlwind experience for me being inducted in to the Country Radio Hall of Fame – an honor that has been beyond amazing – and now to be elevated to this position couldn’t be more thrilling,” added Roberts.  “Likewise, it’s fantastic to work with the incredible CBS RADIO Detroit brands of WYCD, WOMC and WDZH in this role and under the leadership of VP/GM Debbie Kenyon.”

Roberts is a Detroit native with over thirty-eight years of on-air and radio programming experiences.

He programmed legendary stations KHAK-Cedar Rapids, KDRK-Spokane, KSAN and KNEW-San Francisco, WKKT-Charlotte, and WWWW-Detroit. Roberts then joined Cumulus Media Corporation as Midwest Operations Manager. At Cumulus, he oversaw more than twenty-five multi-city stations, and formatted radio stations including Country, Rock, Top 40, Talk and Classic Hits.  Roberts joined the CBS RADIO Detroit team in 2005 as the Program Director for WYCD-FM, and later, added Operations Manager to his title when he took on WOMC-FM.  This past fall, WDZH-FM was added to Roberts’ responsibilities.
