Las Vegas Radio: JB King New OM for CBS Radio Cluster

CBS Radio/Las Vegas today announced JB King has been promoted to Operations Manager for itssix station cluster in Las Vegas.

Stations include: Top40 KLUC 98.5 FM, AC KMXB Mix 94.1FM, Alternative KXTE X107.5 FM, Urban KXQQ Q100.5 FM , NewsTalk KXNT 840 AM and CBS Sports Radio KXST 1140 AM. King will retain his duties as Program Director for both 98.5 KLUC and Q100 in addition to his new role.

"After a national search for the next amazing Operations Manager, we found that with JB King," said Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Tony Perlongo. "With years of experience from learning from the best, JB is more than ready to take on the responsibility of overseeing our six great radio stations, as well as our six HD2 stations."

King has been the anchor of the 98.5 KLUC on-air staff since he joined in April of 1998. A native of Oakland, CA and a graduate of U.C. Davis, he began his radio career in Sacramento, CA, with stops in San Francisco and Phoenix, before arriving in Las Vegas.

While achieving #1 ratings in afternoon drive, King has also won multiple awards including an EMA Award for "Best Show in Las Vegas," as well as "Music Director of the Year" from numerous publications-three times from S.I.N. Magazine, twice from Billboard Magazine, and once each from Gavin Magazine and Hitmakers. He was also named "Most Promising Programmer" from FMQB. In 2016, King was promoted to Program Director for 98.5 KLUC, and was most recently named Program Director for the all new KXQQ Q100.
