Entercom/Boston has announced that Michael Czarnecki has been named Operations Managers and APD at Talk WRKO 680 AM in Boston.
He replaced recently departed Billy Cooksey and joins Entercom from iHeartMedia in Springfield, MA where he was PD for Country WRNX, top40 WHYN-FM and N/T WHYN-AM.
Czarnecki, who began his career in 2001, calls the move a career dream.
"I am so thrilled at this incredible opportunity,” said Czarnecki.
“WRKO is a legendary Boston station with such a rich history. I see nothing but great things for the future, and I am so honored and excited to help lead its astonishingly talented team into it."
Entercom/Boton VP/Market Manager Phil Zachary stated, “If our applicant pool is any indication, the future of the news and talk format is in very good hands. I was particularly impressed with the creativity and enthusiasm across a wide spectrum of prospects, but in the end Michael was the complete package of experience, vision and local knowledge. He will be a terrific addition to the WRKO team.”
