ICE STORM IN EAST TENNESSEE

Classic Hits WIHG 105.7 FM /The Hog and sister-station Top40 WIHG-HD2 / W270 BI were knocked off the air as ice punctured a hole in the roof of the transmitter building.

The hole allowed ice and rain to enter the building causing both stations off-air.

A short time later, weight of ice on a 1,014 foot tower caused the transmitter tower to tumble.  The transmitter location is atop Thorney Mountain, between Cracb Orchard and Millstone Mountain, east of Crossville, TN.

Both stations remained off-air Monday morning and Facebook pages urges listening on-line.
