Country Radio Specialists Mike O’Malley and Becky Brenner have announced that their 24th annual Pre-CRS seminar will take place on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Music City Center, Downtown Nashville, from 10:00 am-1:30 pm.
The A&O&B team will present the first highlights from their 13th annual online perceptual study, “Roadmap 2018”, including Country P1 trends in music tastes, digital consumption, social networking and more. Data from thousands of P1’s from across the U.S and Canada will be included. In 2017, 92.7% of Country P1's said they listened to country radio "the same or more" in the past 12 months; did country radio hold them for another year? Facebook was the most used social media platform with 77% using it every day. Did Instagram (38%) or Snapchat (31%) gain ground this year?
Attendees will also have the opportunity to see presentations on personal career growth, important topics facing country radio and tips on growing ratings and revenue in 2018.
BMLG Record’s Danielle Bradbery is this year’s featured artist. Bradbery first reached fans on NBC’s The Voice in 2013, winning at age 16. Now 21, the Texas native is celebrating her re-introductory, sophomore BMLG Records album, I DON’T BELIEVE WE’VE MET. A&O&B Guests will enjoy an acoustic performance; plus, have a meet and greet opportunity with this amazingly talented young woman.
Adding to the line up: "Is This the Best Radio Break Ever?" There are four critical images every personality-based show must earn in order to win long term, regardless of format. Talent coach Steve Reynolds, from The Reynolds Group, shares these images, explains why, and plays the best radio break he’s heard (in twenty years of coaching shows) that earned these images; making for one of the most fun, stickiest breaks a show has ever done.

Partner Mike O'Malley points out, “Inspiration and innovation come from events like this, the country radio seminar, and anywhere information is shared; and "what if" is celebrated. Providing an annual opportunity for this knowledge/idea sharing is important to us because, while this is a country-centric event, the takeaways go beyond a single format. In the end, it's about great radio and ways to make long lasting connections with listeners."
Brenner adds, “This fast paced 3.5 hours are some of the most talked about at CRS. It is an opportunity to share, learn, grow and re-energize for the new year! Our job is to make certain that our stations have the tools that will help them generate successful ratings and increased revenue in 2018.”
The A&O&B Pre-CRS Seminar is free, and is open to all clients, as well as to broadcasters in non-competitive situations. You can RSVP to Mike O'Malley - mike@aandoandb.com or Becky Brenner becky@aandoandb.com.
