On her SiriusXM podcast The Megyn Kelly Show Monday, conservative commentator Megyn Kelly unleashed a fiery rant against what she called the liberal media's blatant double standards in covering political violence.
The trigger? Protesters from the "No Kings" movement—a loose coalition of anti-Trump activists protesting perceived authoritarianism in his administration—who were caught on video celebrating and mocking the recent assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
Kelly didn't mince words, calling the protesters' behavior "such utter bullshit" and slamming outlets like CNN and MSNBC for ignoring it while hyper-focusing on any right-wing misstep.
The Incident That Sparked the Outrage
Charlie Kirk, a prominent MAGA figure and Trump ally, was assassinated in late September 2025 during a rally in Utah, in what authorities described as a targeted political hit linked to escalating post-election tensions. The killing sent shockwaves through conservative circles, with figures like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens decrying it as part of a broader "war on the right."
Fast-forward to October 18, 2025: During a "No Kings" protest in Washington, D.C.—one of several nationwide demonstrations against Trump's policies—a public school teacher and self-identified activist named Elena Vasquez was filmed making a mock gun-to-the-neck gesture while chanting, "That's for Charlie Kirk—hope the next one's you!" The crowd erupted in cheers, with signs reading "No Kings, No Pawns—Just Justice."
Meet Lucy Martinez. Martinez is an elementary school teacher from Chicago who mocked the assassination of Charlie Kirk during yesterday’s “No Kings” protest.

The clip, which went viral on X with over 2 million views, showed protesters laughing and reenacting the shooting, drawing immediate backlash from conservatives as incitement to violence.
Vasquez, a D.C. middle school teacher, was placed on leave pending investigation, but the story barely registered in mainstream liberal media. Kelly highlighted this in her monologue: "If this were a MAGA crowd mocking the assassination of, say, Kamala Harris, it would be wall-to-wall coverage for weeks.
But because it's the left celebrating the death of one of ours? Crickets. Such utter bullshit."
