Cumulus Media announces that it has appointed Zoltan Csanyi-Salcedo as News Director for News Radio KKOB 770 AM/96.3 FM. Csanyi-Salcedo will oversee the heritage News/Talk station’s news content strategy, newsroom operations, and talent development, ensuring the brand’s continued dominance in local news and public affairs coverage across on-air, digital, and social platforms.
Csanyi-Salcedo joins KKOB with more than three decades of award-winning experience in television and radio news leadership. He most recently served as News Director at KRGV-TV (ABC 5) in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, where he led a bilingual newsroom recognized for investigative depth and community service journalism. His career has spanned multiple major markets — including Albuquerque, El Paso, Dallas, and the Rio Grande Valley — with leadership roles across CBS, NBC, Univision, and Telemundo affiliates.
