Longtime Southeast Missouri radio broadcaster Elmo Donze — known on air for years as "Bob Scott" — died Sunday.

He was 65-years-of-age.

The owner of Donze Communications, centered in Perryville, Mo., Donze was owner-operator of Classic Country KSGM 980 AM and Classic Rock KBDZ FM 93.1.

A familiar voice throughout Ste. Genevieve and Perry counties in Missouri and Randolph County, Ill., Mr. Donze brought newscasts, music shows and high-school sports play-by-play to that region for 40 years.
