The FCC has approved the sale of four Glory Communications, Inc. radio stations to Community Broadcasters, LLC, headquartered in New York and co-owned and operated by Jim Leven and Bruce Mittman in partnership with Northwood Ventures in Long Island, NY.
The 4 stations in South Carolina purchased from Glory Communications, Inc.:
- WLJI 98.3 FM – Summerton, SC
- WSPX 94.5 FM – Bowman, SC
- WTQS 1490 AM – Cameron, SC
- WPDT 105.1 FM – Coward, SC
Community Broadcasters LLC, in partnership with Northwood Ventures, currently owns and operates 16 signals in Elmira/Corning, Olean, Ogdensburg and Watertown, NY. Last September, they purchased 12 radio stations, 7 translators and 3 TV construction permits located in Florence, Sumter and Orangeburg, South Carolina from Miller Communications. The closing on these 4 Glory Communication signals bring Community Broadcasters total holdings to 42. They will consolidate their South Carolina offices and studios with their current Florence, Sumter and Orangeburg locations.

“Community Broadcasters has always had the mission of offering the most relevant local content, without relying on syndication, while staying competitive in the marketplace,” says Bruce Mittman.
“The South Carolina expansion complements our current radio holdings in these three fast-growing South Carolina markets and furthers our vision to grow a small-market radio group in strategic locations throughout the U.S.” adds Mittman.
