Jennifer Nettles to Host 2016 ACM Nomination Special

Country Music's Party of the Year is right around the corner -- the 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. To set the stage for the big event, nine-time ACM winner Jennifer Nettles will host Westwood One’s 2016 ACM Nomination Special, a two-hour, music-intensive program featuring songs from ACM-nominated artists.

Along with all the music, there will be interviews with nominees Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, and more. Stations can air Westwood One’s ACM Nomination Special with Jennifer Nettles any time Saturday, April 2 through Sunday, April 3, 2016, between 6:00 am and 12 midnight. GRAMMY Award-winning Country superstar Jennifer Nettles released her Big Machine Records debut single “Unlove You” and is currently in the studio working on her sophomore solo album. She won five ASCAP awards for her songwriting abilities and received a GRAMMY Award, ACM Award and CMA Award for penning the emotionally charged, #1 Platinum hit, “Stay.”

At the 2009 ACM Awards, Jennifer Nettles was honored with the “Crystal Milestone Award” for being the first female artist to be the solo songwriter on an ACM “Song of the Year” since 1972.

Leading with her powerhouse vocals and vivacious energy, Jennifer Nettles has performed with some of the industry’s most iconic figures including Beyonce, Bon Jovi, Idina Menzel, John Legend, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and more. Adding to her many accolades, in February 2015 Jennifer Nettles made her Broadway debut as Roxy Hart in the Tony Award Winning, record-breaking musical Chicago and joined the cast of the Dolly Parton television biopic, 'Coat of Many Colors,' on NBC in December. Jennifer Nettles kicked off 2016 headlining CMT’s Next Women of Country Tour having wrapped her headlining Playing With Fire Tour at the end of 2015.
