SF Radio: Report..Steve Sklenar OUT At Cumulus

Steve Sklenar, the Cumulus Market Manager for the troubles San Francisco cluster and responsible for all its stations, including troubled and ratings-challenged KGO 810 AM was let go on Tuesday, according to Rich Lieberman's 415 blog.

The official wording was Sklenar "resigned"--in fact, he was shown the door over a variety of issues not the least of which involved KGO's ratings performance. According to Lieberman other trouble spots: KSFO and the complete "cluster-uck" known as KFOG.

Sklenar has been market manager in S-F for a little more than a year. Previously, he was director of sales from Lincoln Financial in San Diego.

There's no word on a replacement for Sklenar and no confirmnation from Cumulus.

It's also been learned that Deidra Lieberman exited Cumulus News KGO-AM/San Francisco as VP/Sales last month reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Before becoming VP/Sales in 2011, she was appointed General Manager of both KGO-AM and KSFO-AM in October, 2010, to succeed longtime GM Mickey Luckoff.
