FOX News' Host Cuts Away From White House Spox

Not even Fox News has time for the Trump administration’s ongoing and seemingly baseless assertion that the election was rigged, according to The NY Daily News.

Fox host Neil Cavuto cut into his network’s broadcast of a Monday afternoon rant from Kayleigh McEnany, the White House Press press secretary who claimed that those who oppose President Trump are “welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting" without offering any proof of her allegations.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa! I just think we have to be very clear,” said Cavuto, interrupting the broadcast. “She’s charging that the other side is ‘welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting.’ Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue showing you this.”

Cavuto is considered one of the more moderate broadcasters at Fox News, where McEnany was once a producer.

“Maybe they do have something else to back that up, but that’s an explosive charge to make," Cavuto said Monday afternoon. “Not so fast."

Cavuto told viewers that he would update them if McEnany produced any facts to support her sensational charges. That didn’t happen.

Competing right-wing cable channel OANN didn’t let McEnany’s lack of facts or substance influence their editorial practices.

Trump has pitted Fox News against OANN on several occasions when he felt the former wasn’t being sufficiently loyal.

With most of the ballots in the 2020 election counted, Democrat Joe Biden leads the president by nearly 4.5 million votes. The president and his team continue to cling to the idea that they’re being cheated and threatened to take their ambiguous case to the Supreme Court.
