Pittsburgh Radio: WBZZ, WDSY Team For 'Concert for Unity'


Entercom has announced "A Concert for Unity" to benefit the rebuilding of Tree of Life -- Or L'Simcha Congregation in Pittsburgh.

The sold-out event, presented by WBZZ 100.7 Star and Country WDSY Y108, will be broadcast live on both stations and will feature musical performances by Dan + Shay, FRZY and The Andy Davis Band on Sunday, December 2 at 2pm ET at Pittsburgh's Byham Theater.

"Pittsburgh suffered an unfathomable tragedy and our community has come together to support our neighbors in their time of need," said Senior VP/Market Manager Michael Spacciapolli. "Through the generosity of local Pittsburgh artists and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, ‘A Concert for Unity' will directly support the rebuilding of Tree of Life."

"On behalf of our entire congregation, I wish to thank all who are involved in this amazing effort to support the rebuilding of our synagogue," added Samuel K. Schachner, Ph.D., President, Tree of Life -- Or L'Simcha Congregation. "We are so appreciative of this ‘Concert for Unity' for Tree of Life's benefit, just as we are humbled by this incredible show of support from all who are involved. This proves that love truly is stronger than hate."

Full ticket face value will benefit the rebuilding and reopening of Tree of Life -- Or L'Simcha Congregation in Pittsburgh. Dan + Shay, FRZY, The Andy Davis Band, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Dollar Bank and Pittsburgh's Byham Theater are donating their services to support the benefit.
