CNN's Jim Acosta Attends Presser At TWH

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders held the first White House press briefing since October 29. Among the attendees was CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta, who returned to the White House press briefing room after having his press pass taken away and later restored on Nov. 19.

TVNewser reports Sanders permitted Acosta to ask a question, which had to do with Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, and then a follow up, which had to do with President Trump’s relationships with his advisers.

Sanders’ decision to allow a follow up from Acosta came as a bit of a surprise considering the White House also issued a list of written rules for behavior at White House press conferences, including allowing follow-up questions “at the discretion of the president or other White House official taking questions.” Journalists who failed to follow said rules would risk having their passes revoked.

The interaction between Acosta and Sanders was civil.
