Nashville Radio: Official! Radio's Bobby Bones Joins DWTS

ABC’s popular fan-voted dance competition “Dancing with the Stars” revealed the cast for its 27th season Wednesday and syndicated country radio personality and author Bobby Bones and actor/country singer John Schneider are in the line-up.  Bones' home-base in Nashville is iHeartMedia's WSIX 97.9 FM  The Big 98.

“And away we go. Dancing With The Stars. With my awesomest partner @sharnaburgess,” Bones tweeted Wednesday morning with a photo of himself and his professional dancing partner Sharna Burgess.

Schneider, who is most known for playing Bo Duke on “The Dukes of Hazzard,” is paired with professional dancer Emma Slater.

Other celebrities set to kick up their heels this season on “Dancing with the Stars” are:
  • Actor Milo Manheim with Witney Carson
  • Paralympian Danielle Umstead with Artem Chigvintsev
  • The “Bachelorette’s” Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile with Jenna Johnson 
  • “Facts of Life” actress Nancy McKeon with Val Chmerkovskiy;
  • Gold-medal-winning retired gymnast Mary Lou Retton with Sasha Farber
  • Zimbabwean singer-songwriter Tinashe with Brandon Armstrong
  • Actor Juan Pablo Di Pace with Cheryl Burke
  • Model Alexis Ren with Alan Bersten
  • Comedienne Nikki Glaser with Gleb Savchenko
  • Irish actress Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe.
Season 27 of “Dancing with the Stars” will debut with a live two-hour premiere 7 p.m. Sept. 24 on ABC.
