Chicago Alternative Rock station 101WKQX and Church Street Brewing Company announce that they have partnered to introduce Q Street, a “righteously good” alternative India Pale Ale to Chicagoland craft beer fans.
Q Street rocks fruity, spicy notes and is highly carbonated, lending a pleasant effervescence and balance to the all-new beer. Q Street is now available in select brewpubs, bars and shops across the Chicagoland area, with more locations added daily.
A portion of the proceeds from Q Street beer go directly to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; a charity dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.
Lisa Gregor, Owner, Church Street Brewing, said: “We are so excited to be collaborating with 101WKQX to create Q Street Beer, Alternative IPA! It means so much to Church Street Brewing to have the opportunity to collaborate with an Iconic Chicago Radio Station known for bringing the best of Alternative Rock Music to Chicago over the years. Now we want to extend that tradition by working with 101WKQX to also bring to Chicago the best in craft beer.”
Troy Hanson, Vice President, Programming-Rock, Cumulus Media, and Program Director, 101WKQX-FM, said: “We are delighted to work with local entrepreneurs Church Street to give our listeners a unique Chicago born & brewed elixir. In doing so, this collaboration is an opportunity for WKQX to give back to the community on frankly a tough topic to talk about in Suicide Prevention, but one we all need to be acutely aware of.”
I01WKQX will host an official Q Street Launch and Dance Party across the street from Wrigley Field at Cubby Bear, 1059 W Addison St., Chicago, on Friday, September 21st , at 8:00pm.
