Lawyers for Bubba the Love Sponge have filed a formal objection to a judge’s recent ruling limiting the documents Nielsen must provide regarding the Media Rating Council’s issues with theaccreditation of the PPM to the Tampa market.
Nielsen is suing Bubba the Love Sponge claiming his tampering with the PPM survey in the Tampa market causing it damages to the tune of $25 million.
Bubba’s lawyers were recently granted documents related to the MRC’s concerns about PPM methodology, but only in the Tampa market. They seek MRC documents related to all PPM markets and they say that’s relevant because Nielsen’s allegation of damages suffered relates to “contract price concessions allegedly demanded by a Nielsen subscriber, Cox Media Group, Inc., for its entire nationwide contracts with Nielsen, including both radio and television broadcast contracts.”
