Boise Radio: Encouraging News For KCIX's Mike Kasper

 “No cancer in the lymph nodes plus the pathologist downgraded my cancer...” Mike Kasper proclaimed on his Facebook page Thursday. More than 1,200 people had “liked” the post by Friday afternoon.

Accord to The Idaho Statesman, the longtime Boise radio personality, who has been host of the Mix Morning Show on KCX MIX 106 FM for 15 years, underwent surgery on Tuesday. He went home from the hospital Thursday.

On social media, the 54-year-old Kasper said there is “one little cause for concern” — that the turmor might have broken through the lining of the prostate. He’ll need radiation if that happened, he said.

He hopes to be back on air part-time by mid-July.
