Radio.com Launches Looped Video Experience

CBS RADIO and CBS LOCAL DIGITAL MEDIA Wednesday announced LOOPED, a new video experience for RADIO.com, CBS RADIO’s online and mobile destination for the best in music, sports, talk and news programming.

At launch, LOOPED will offer three live streaming channels dedicated to playing music videos from Pop, Urban and Country musical genres.

LOOPED is designed as a “lean-back” viewing experience, playing a constant feed of the best music videos and content related to the channel’s genre. Powered by Vadio’s online music video platform, each LOOPED channel will feature music videos and original content from CBS RADIO stations and RADIO.com – including related news and artist interviews.

“Music continues to be the most popular of all online videos, garnering billions of monthly impressions worldwide,” said Ezra Kucharz, President, CBS Local Digital Media.  “This naturally engaging form of entertainment is a proven way to reach consumers and deliver effective advertising messages.  Each year, we have expanded the amount of original video we create which will serve as a perfect complement to the music videos consumers are already enjoying.”

Users can watch LOOPED channels by simply streaming the feed live or by skipping around within the feed to access content on demand. After watching an on demand video, the channel will then automatically resume the live stream. In addition, the LOOPED channels offer click-to-buy functionality within the stream so users can easily purchase the music they enjoy through iTunes.

Radio.com’s new LOOPED experience is available online and is optimized for the mobile web.

In addition to live audio and video streaming of hundreds CBS RADIO stations and drive-time programs, Radio.com presents original shows, live concert webcasts, breaking news, exclusive editorial features and storytelling, and interviews with some of the biggest artists and personalities in the world.  Radio.com is available online or by downloading the app for a variety of mobile devices. Other original features of Radio.com include Essentials, Style Files, Rewind, and Artist Interviews.
