Tim Closson, Todd Alan Join Westwood One Team

As Westwood One continues to boost its programming and station partnerships, it is pleased to announce that Tim Closson and Todd Alan have been added to its accomplished Affiliate Sales team.

Tim Closson will develop and manage Westwood One Country radio syndication partnerships for NASH Nights Live with Shawn Parr, Kickin’ It with Kix Brooks Overnights, the newly announced NASH Icons, American Country Countdown, Lia, Big Time with Whitney Allen, Country Weekly AM/PM, Country Gold with Randy Owen and Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton. Closson is based in Cincinnati and reports to Donny Walker, Senior Director, Affiliate Sales.

Tim comes to Westwood One from Time Warner Cable Media in Cincinnati, where he sold multi-platform advertising on 42 different cable networks.  Prior to that, he spent 24 years in radio, including 14 years as Operations Manager/PD at B-105/WUBE-FM, Cincinnati.  He spent six years as VP, Country Programming for AMFM Inc. (Chancellor Media-Chancellor Broadcasting), working with legendary stations like KZLA, Los Angeles; KMLE, Phoenix; KSAN, San Francisco; KEEY and WBOB Minneapolis; WWWW, Detroit; KKBQ, Houston; WMZQ, Washington DC; and WUBE and WYGY, Cincinnati.  Tim is also a former Operations Manager for the Cincinnati Bengals radio network.

Todd Alan
Todd Alan comes back to Westwood One after serving as VP, Affiliate Sales and Programming, at Focus 360.  He will work closely with stations and affiliating various entertainment shows and services, including The Bob & Tom Show, Pop Crush Hosted by Billy Bush, Nights Live with Adam Bomb, Flashback, Backtrax USA hosted by Kid Kelly, The Daly Download with Carson Daly, The Weekend Countdown with Billy Bush, and prep services.

In his previous Affiliate Sales VP role at Westwood One, Alan distributed high profile long-form shows and special events, across Country, Hot AC, and Rock programming.   Earlier in his career at Westwood One, Todd was instrumental in the launch of Bill O’Reilly’s radio show, the largest launch in the history of Talk format. In addition, Todd has affiliated Don Imus, Larry King, G. Gordon Liddy, Jim Bohannon, Laura Ingraham, Don and Mike, Opie and Anthony, and Tom Leykis.
