Journalist and author Charlayne Hunter-Gault, a three-time Peabody recipient and Peabody board member, and Ira Glass, host and executive producer of the Public Radio series "This American Life" and now a six-time Peabody winner, announced the honorees.
The Peabodys come from the University of Georgia Grady School of Journalism.
The honor signifies excellence on television, radio and the Internet.
Ira Glass will host this year's Peabody Awards event on May 19. It will air on Pivot, Participant Media's network, later this spring.
