SA Radio: Salem Launches The Fish..Online

Salem Communications has launched The Fish Contemporary Christian format in San Antonio.  However, lacking an FN signal in the market, Salem has gone online at TheFishSanAntonio.com.

The new station will program popular Christian artists such as Toby Mac, Chris Tomlin and Mandisa.
Salem unveiled The Fish at 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving day and is currently airing “real Christmas music” through the holiday season. On Dec. 26, the new station will begin airing its regular format.

Listeners can find TheFishSanAntonio.com online, on their tablet and on their smartphone. Salem officials say listeners will also have the option of tuning in to The Fish in their vehicles via bluetooth technology and a free phone app that works with Android and iPhone operating systems.

“It’s time that San Antonio has its own local station that focuses on this format,” says Michael Payne, who will serve as general manager of The Fish, according to bizjournals.com.

Salem also operates terrestrial stations KSLR 630 AM and KLUP 930 AM in San Antonio.
