CEO Jennifer Witz praised Coughlin’s nearly 30 years of public-company finance experience, including prior CFO roles at Converse (Nike) and DFS (LVMH), calling him “an ideal leader” to drive profitable growth in a competitive audio market.

Coughlin stated he is “honored” to join and sees “tremendous opportunity” ahead for SiriusXM’s satellite radio, podcast, and connected-vehicle businesses.

The transition is described as planned and amicable, with no disagreements cited. Barry will assist with the handover through the end of 2025.Alongside the executive change, SiriusXM confirmed it remains on track to meet its full-year 2025 outlook provided on October 30, 2025, signaling continued confidence despite ongoing subscriber and advertising challenges.

The announcement follows SiriusXM’s September 2024 spin-off from Liberty Media and its first-ever inclusion in the Fortune 500 earlier this year. Shares of SIRI were little changed in early trading following the news.
