Virtual News Center is proud to announce the addition of Global One Media’s northeast Nevada radio stations — KUOL (94.5 FM “Kool 94.5”), KHIX (96.7 FM “Mix 96.7”), and KBGZ (103.9 FM “Big Country 103.9”) — to its growing network of affiliate partners.
As part of the new collaboration, Roxanne Steward will anchor daily newscasts for the cluster, providing local, community-driven updates for listeners across the Elko region.
Rich Hudson, Owner of Global One Media, praised the partnership and Steward’s performance:
"While we’ve only been using the Virtual News Center service for about three months, I’ve been extremely impressed with Roxanne Steward as our news anchor. She has consistently delivered concise, community-oriented, and genuinely local-sounding newscasts. Her delivery has been flawless — not a single complication — and it’s everything I could hope for in a service designed to help smaller markets maintain a strong, local presence."Roxanne has also worked closely with our market manager and program director to make each newscast as hyper-local as possible, right down to accurate pronunciations and an attention to detail that makes her sound, for all intents and purposes, like a local voice to our listeners.”
Joel Dearing, CEO of Virtual News Center, added: “Rich Hudson is doing some fun things in Elko, and we are excited to be a part of his company’s growth.”
The addition of the Elko cluster marks another milestone in Virtual News Center’s ongoing growth, expanding its reach while empowering affiliates to maintain authentic, locally relevant newscasts. The company’s turnkey model enables broadcasters to enhance their community presence with professional anchors, customized scripts, and seamless delivery — allowing small and mid-sized markets to sound truly local.
