CNN To Launch Streaming Service This Month

CNN announced today, the launch of its new "All Access" subscription tier, a premium streaming service designed to provide comprehensive access to its journalism and video content. Priced at $6.99 per month or $69.99 annually, this tier builds on CNN's existing digital paywall (introduced in October 2024) and marks the network's latest push into direct-to-consumer streaming amid declining cable viewership.

The service aims to create a "centralized destination" for live and on-demand programming, targeting superfans and heavy users of CNN.com. This follows the short-lived CNN+ experiment in 2022, which was shuttered after just one month due to low adoption and corporate restructuring under Warner Bros. Discovery.
  • Monthly Plan: $6.99/month.
  • Annual Plan: $69.99/year (equivalent to about $5.83/month).
  • Promotional Offer: Subscribers signing up for the annual plan by January 5, 2026, can lock in a discounted first-year rate of $41.99 (roughly $3.50/month).
  • Launch Date: October 28, 2025, initially available in the United States across web, mobile, and connected TV apps.
  • Free Tier Context: CNN's existing "Basic" tier (from the 2024 paywall) costs $3.99/month or $29.99/year for unlimited articles and some exclusive content, but lacks video streaming. All Access upgrades this with full video access.
The pricing positions All Access as an affordable entry into premium news streaming, undercutting competitors like The New York Times' bundle (starting at $9.99/month with video) or Fox Nation ($5.99/month, but more niche).
