NH Radio: WNNH Drops News/Talk For True Oldies Channel

WNNH 99.1 FM has gone back to its roots.

In 1989, WNNH signed on as Oldies 99 and had a long and successful run in the marketplace until it moved into a rock format in 2007.

It went through a series of format changes until becoming 99.1/NH1 Newsradio in 2015.

Effective Monday morning, Binnie Media has returned the station to the Oldies format, rechristening it "True Oldies 99.1."

The station will be playing the Scott Shannon, True Oldies format.

President of Binnie Media, Lee Kinberg said Binnie Media is excited to bring oldies back to the Capital Region.

“Scott Shannon is a true legend in the business and we are thrilled to be able to work with him on True Oldies,” Kinberg said.

"We continue to believe in the power and importance of great local news and talk," Kinberg said. "NH1.com, WTSN, WEMJ and now WTPL will be focused on delivering news, weather and lifestyle information to our readers and listeners throughout New Hampshire.”
