Indy Radio: Cara Denis Lands PM Drive At HankFM

Cara Denis
Emmis Country WLHK 97.1 FM has announced Cara Denis has been tapped at MD/Afternoon host, starting Monday May 8.

Denis joins HankFM from KCLR/Columbia,  MO where she was APD/morning co-host.

She succeeds JD Cannon, who retired last week after six years with WLHK and 32 previous years with crosstown Country WFMS.

"Timing aligned perfectly to bring Cara back to our team,” said Hank PD Fritz Moser. “Her success in Columbia speaks volumes; Cara knows being a great personality is more than just an air shift. It’s important to be visible in the community and to continue the conversation online – she gets it. Cara is in the heart of our target demo and will add a great perspective to our music decisions.”

During her five years with KCLR she co-hosted "Scotty and Cara In the Morning," which earned them 2017 Accademy of Country Music Personality of the Year award and the Missouri Broadcasters Assn. Personality of the Year award in 2015-16.
