Opie's longtime partner Anthony Cumia was fired on July 3 after a series of Tweets deemed racist and vulgar by SiriusXM management.
Speaking Cumia, he confirms in a piece published at The Wire that he is preparing to forge ahead with his "Live from the Compound Show" -- an online program that will require a subscription fee (though he admits that amount has not been determined).
In the piece, Cumia also says he understands that Hughes and Norton are under contract through October so calls from fans for the two to quit in a movement of solidarity with him are unreasonable.
People calling me and @OpieRadio traitors for not walking, please understand we're under contract. We love @AnthonyCumia more than you know.
