Cumulus' Talker WABC 770 AM registered
an all-time low 1.3 (6+ Total Week) in the June PPMs released Tuesday
by Nielsen. You'll recall In the May PPM, WABC fell below a
2.0-share for the first time ever. Now add in the stinker June and
here's the four month trend 2.4—2.2—1.6–1.3. And that's not the only bad news, WABC was edged out by CCM+E's WOR 710 AM which moved 1.6--1.5.
As for the Top 5 in the Big Apple:
CCM+E's AC WLTW 106.7 FM strengthened its #1 position with a 6.8—7.1
uptick. CBS Radio's Class Hits WCBS 101.1 FM, which had been
flirting with unseating WLTW with the addition of the Shannon In The
Morning Show, lost some share 6.6—6.3 to remain #2.
Emmis Urban AC WBLS was flat 5.6—5.6
to place #3. SBS Tropical WSKQ 97.9 FM MEGA was up again to post its
best number in over a year 5.1—5.5 and claim the #4 spot. CCM+E Top
40/M WHTZ 100.3 FM lost some support 5.6—5.2 to end up #5.
