Wichita Radio: Journal Taps Beverlee Brannigan As GM

The former operations manager of Journal Broadcast’s six Wichita radio stations has returned to become the group’s vice president and general manager.

Beverlee Brannigan joined Journal in 2001 as program director of the company’s station in Omaha. She moved to Wichita in 2002, then left in 2012 to become the company’s vice president of programming.

The six-station Wichita cluster, which includes Country KFDI, Rock KICT, Classic Rock KFXJ, Regional Mexican KYQQ, Classic Country KFTI, and Spanish Sports KLIO-A.

"Beverlee is a trusted and respected leader who embodies our core values of integrity, excellence, determination and innovation," said Journal Broadcast Group EVP/Radio Steve Wexler.

"Our radio stations are in excellent hands with her at the helm. I couldn’t be more excited for her and for our Wichita team."

Brannigan had been serving as intergim GM when Eric McCart left the cluster in early March.
