D/FW Radio: CBS Radio Names Jay Michaels New KVIL PD

Jay Michaels has been named new program directed to KVIL 103.7 FM in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

CBS Radio the appointment public today.  He'll report to Brian Purdy, SVP/Market Manager for CBS Radio Dallas-Fort Worth.

"KVIL is on a new, strategic path," said Purdy, "we're entrusting Jay with these iconic call letters. I'm confident that he will build upon the foundation which has been laid by (CBS Radio D/FW VP of Music Programming) Ron Harrell, who can now focus exclusively on KLUV and Jack FM. We couldn't ask for a stronger team to guide our music stations in Dallas-Fort Worth."

Michaels most recently programmed Clear Channel's crosstown duo Hot AC KDMX 102.9 FM Now and Alternative KDGE 102.1 FM The Edge.
