DC radio veteran Don Geronimo will launch a subscription podcast on the RELM Network, reports
DCRTV.
"The Don Geronimo Show" will be presented live for two hours, Monday through Friday, starting in early April at dongeronimopodcast.com.
The launch date is expected to be April 1.
A recorded version of the show will be available on that website, shortly after each live show ends.
The cast includes Don Geronimo, co-host Drew Hoffar, their sidekick, Joe Ardinger, and features regular appearances by longtime pal and newsman Buzz Burbank.
The show will be available by subscription - via a monthly ($9.99), a quarterly ($26.99), and an annual package ($99.99) that features a discount for early subscribers ($84.99).
According to a RELM release, "As changes in the radio industry continue to disappoint listeners, Geronimo looks forward to doing the show he's always wanted to do, without interference from corporate radio executives or the FCC rules that quashed the medium's spontaneity and fun."
Burbank, who worked with Geronimo nearly 30 years, including their 16-plus years at WJFK, will continue his daily newscast at buzzburbank.com.
He is a partner in and co-founder of the RELM Network, along with Marc Ronick and Lowell Melser.
