Following a two year hiatus, radio audience ratings have returned to Ann Arbor. Nielsen has resumed its audience measurements for the Ann Arbor market beginning with the Fall 2013 (Oct-Nov-Dec) survey period.
The results of this survey show Michigan Radio WUOM 91.7 FM returning to a familiar position as Ann Arbor’s most listened to radio station. The station’s 14.3 Average Quarter-Hour audience share topped all other radio stations (both commercial and non-commercial) in the Ann Arbor market during the survey period, and was more than double the audience of the next closest station.

Michigan Radio’s strong showing in the Ann Arbor market also allowed the station to take over the top spot as the highest rated public radio station in America. According to the Fall 2013 Nielsen Audio radio report, 26% of Ann Arbor's metro area population has listened to WUOM-FM in the past week, which gives the station the highest audience rating of any public radio station across Nielsen Audio's 274 measured markets in the U.S.
