LA Music Benefit Attracts A-List Performers

Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Joni Mitchell are among a star-studded set of musicians performing at a benefit concert this month for wildfire recovery and relief, organizers announced Thursday.

NBC News reports “FireAid” will be held Jan. 30 at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Inglewood in the Los Angeles area, featuring a number of artists with California ties.

Tickets will go on sale at noon Wednesday through Ticketmaster, AEG announced. The money will go to both short-term and long-term relief, it said.

The Palisades and Eaton fires have killed at least 27 people and displaced tens of thousands. Los Angeles’ fire chief has said it will be one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the city.

Millions in donations have been made after the devastating fires, which destroyed an estimated thousands of homes in Pacific Palisades and in the Altadena and Pasadena area.

Steve Ballmer, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, who play at the Intuit Dome, pledged $15 million. Other Hollywood and sports organizations and celebrities have also donated, including the Walt Disney Co., which committed $15 million.
