iHeartMedia Providence has announced that Providence radio legend, Giovanni, will return to the airwaves as the afternoon host for B101 (WWBB-FM)/Providence’s 80’s and more station, effective immediately.
Giovanni will host weekdays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, bringing his legendary on-air presence back to Rhode Island. He will report to Adam Rivers, Program Director for B101.
“Giovanni is a Rhode Island legend,” said Adam Rivers, Program Director for B101. “To have him back on the airwaves entertaining commuters during their ride home across Southern New England, is nothing short of tremendous. We’re thrilled to have him on the B101 team.”
Giovanni, a familiar voice to Rhode Island listeners, brings decades of experience to his new role. He joins B101 after an impressive 50-year tenure at WPRO-FM, where he captivated audiences with his engaging personality and deep connection to the community. After nearly nine months off the air, Giovanni’s return marks an exciting new chapter for the community.
