NYC Radio: Luis Jimenez Returns To WXNY For Mornings

Univision Communications Inc. has announced the return of popular radio personality, Luis Jimenez, to New York’s airwaves with a new morning drive show debuting on March 13. The program will air on Univision New York’s hit radio station WXNY La X 96.3 FM Monday through Friday starting at 6:00 a.m.

Jimenez, a veteran of the radio industry, is known for his bold humor and zany characters. Born in Puerto Rico, he hosted his first radio show in Orlando, Florida starting in 1989. It was only a matter of time before his charisma, wit and talent won him the hearts of the Hispanic community in Orlando, and in 1993, he was invited to join WSKQ in New York to host the morning show. He has been a staple of New York radio ever since, joining Univision New York in 2008 to host a national show that took his unmatched brand of comedy across major U.S. cities including Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In 2015, Jimenez and his wife Alma launched the Luis Network, an online radio venture. Jimenez’s talents reach beyond radio; he has sold out shows at Carolines on Broadway, The Comedy Garden at New York’s Madison Square Garden, and at the New York Comedy Festival. His first album, “Tortilla Party,” was nominated for a Billboard Latin Music Award, marking the first time a radio personality had received the honor.
