R.I.P.: Former WBRE-TV Sportscaster Jim Miller

Jim Miller
A longtime sportscaster in Northeastern PA has passed away.

Jim Miller worked for WBRE-TV28 for nearly two decades on the air, reporting on high school sports, professional sports, and more.

He was 74-years-of-age.

Miller, a native of Scranton, played professional baseball with the likes of Pete Rose and Willie Stargell before his broadcasting career.

He was a sports anchor at the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City for a year and a sports anchor at the ABC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio for three years before joining WBRE in 1982.

Miller was the sports director at WBRE and left the NBC affiliate in 1999.
