Mitch Rosen |
The promotion is effective immediately.
Rosen has been the Program Director for WSCR-AM since 2005.
Norm Winer has been WXRT-FM's Program Director for 35 years, celebrating his anniversary this past August. His role remains the same, according to CRM. At WXRT-FM, Winer will continue to be responsible for all on-air elements and the brand development. Rosen will oversee the marketing, non-traditional revenue (NTR), and overall administrative side of operations.
In the internal CBS Radio Chicago announcement, Zimmerman said of Rosen: "Mitch's organizational skills, management style and sales/NTR focus will help grow the great brand that is XRT."
Rosen began working in Chicago radio as a producer for Eddie Schwartz on WGN-AM in 1988. In 1992, when Schwartz moved to WLUP-AM, Rosen followed. From there, he went on to produce other stars, such as Kevin Matthews. He left WLUP-AM in 1994 to become General Manager of the Continental Basketball Association's Chicago Rockers. In 1997, he returned to radio, first to WKTU-FM in New York, and then later that year, back to his native Chicago at WMVP-AM. He moved over to WSCR-AM in 2005.
