CBS Radio/Tampa Bay has announced Rob Morris as its new
VP/Programming for the cluster, which includes Sports WHFS 98.7 FM/ 1010 AM, Top
40 WLLD 94.1 FM, Country WQYK 99.5 FM, Classic Hits WRBQ 104.7 FM and Spanish
WYUU 92.5 FM.
Morris starts August 4 after relocating from Minneapolis,
where he was OM/PD for CBS’ KMNV and KZIK. During this time Morris has overseen audience share
increases of 85% and 31% for JACK FM and BUZ’N 102.9 respectively in key
demographics.
“Rob is passionate
about radio, competitive, a terrific strategic thinker and possesses
outstanding leadership skills,” said Tampa SVP/Market Manager Stever Carver. “He is the perfect choice to take CBS Radio
Tampa Bay to the next level.”
“I'm thrilled to be given this great opportunity in
Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater," Morris stated. "I look forward to working with our team there.”
Morris replaces Brian Thomas, who left recently to join
Cumulus as PD Country WNSH 94.7 FM NashFM in New York.
