Chicago Radio: Mix Men Wear Pink To Raise $691K+

During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Men of the Mix fronted by Morning Mix host Chris Petlak, Morning Mix Newsman Brian “Whip” Paruch, Afternoon Mix co-host Casey McCabe and MIX Night Personality Dash, teamed up with The Real Men Wear Pink campaign to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, an organization leading the breast cancer fight in the 21st century COMMITTED to creating a future free from the threat of breast cancer.

With the help of corporate sponsor, Tree Time Christmas Creations, platinum selling artist Fitz and The Tantrums, and our amazing Mix Listeners, The Men of The Mix helped raise $691,342 for the American Cancer Society of Greater Chicagoland, placing Chicago first in nationwide campaigns for total funds raised. Every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society save lives from breast cancer by funding innovative breast cancer research; providing education and guidance to help people reduce their risk; and offering comprehensive patient care.

“We are grateful to 101.9 The Mix, Chris, Whip, McCabe and Dash, for lending their voices to our cause. Not only did they wear pink, but they raised awareness about breast cancer and made a huge commitment to raise funds to help save more lives.” Stated Emily Lipinsky, Senior Director, American Cancer Society.
