Salem Media Group announced Tuesday it has completed acquisition of the former WDDZ-AM, a former Radio Disney station. It will feature The Answer brand, popular on 21 of its other talk stations around the country.
"Pittsburgh deserves a newstalk station that reflects the conservative, hard-working heart and soul of its people," said Tom Lemmon, Salem general manager.
Ms. Tennent will host the 8-10 a.m. time slot, following Bill Bennett's "Morning in America" (6-8). The rest of the lineup is Mike Gallagher (10 a.m.-noon), Dennis Prager (noon-3), Michael Medved (3-6 p.m.), Mark Levin (6-9 p.m.) and Hugh Hewitt (9-midnight).
Ms. Tennent and Mr. Quinn were dropped by Clear Channel's WPGB in the fall of 2013. Since then, she said, they have remained "dear friends" but will go their own ways on air. Mr. Quinn recently began a 6-9 a.m. program on WCNS 1480 AM in nearby Latrobe.
