Barkley, who is listed as the No. 2 most powerful person in
sports media by SI, is hailed by writer Richard Deitsch as the main factor
behind the cultural and ratings success of TNT's Inside The NBA and said
"he can't be replaced."
Finebaum, who is currently off the air after ending his
contract with WJOX, earned an honorable mention on the list as the No. 17 most
powerful person in sports media. Finebaum's radio show has been missing from
airwaves around the country since January but that hasn't kept him from being a
hot topic of discussion among sports fans, particularly those in the state of Alabama .
