Audacy Buffalo’s WBEN (WBEN-AM) and 107.7 The Wolf (WLKK-FM) raised $120,000 for the SPCA Serving Erie County during the SPCA Radiothon presented by Trocaire College. Proceeds from the radiothon helps the SPCA provide vital care, including food, shelter, and medical attention to pets and wildlife.
“Quietly, each and every day, the SPCA Serving Erie County serves the needs of animals and our community. We’re honored to be able to set aside one day to rally the region and raise much needed funds. Thank you Buffalo for again stepping up!” said Tim Wenger, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Buffalo.
The SPCA Radiothon was broadcast live on Wednesday, December 11th from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET. Throughout the day, WBEN-FM hosts Susan Rose, David Bellavia, Tom Bauerle and WLKK-FM host Liz Mantel featured interviews and stories showcasing the impact of the SPCA Serving Erie County in the Buffalo community. From 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., listeners could also come adopt a new pet with half-off adoption fees for animals six months and older.
The SPCA Serving Erie County’s mission is to create a more humane community through education, rescuing, protecting and enhancing the lives of animals, and nurturing the bond between animals and people.
SPCA Radiothon hosted by WBEN (WBEN-AM) and 107.7 The Wolf (WLKK-FM) is a part of Audacy’s commitment to making a meaningful difference at scale. Audacy uses its reach and personal connection with listeners to advance causes that promote strong mental health and build sound communities.
