K-Love Morning Show Relocating To TN

K-LOVE’s nationally broadcast morning program, The Skip & Amy Show, is scheduled to relocate in May from its current studio in Indianapolis to the K-LOVE studio in Franklin, Tenn., and begin airing live from its new location the week of the seventh annual K-LOVE Fan Awards.

Skip & Amy
Newly appointed K-LOVE CEO, Bill Reeves, recently moved from Franklin to Northern California, where K-LOVE is headquartered. “Having personally been a part of the Franklin Christian music and media community for almost 25 years,” Reeves said, “I believe having K-LOVE’s morning show in the heart of it all will further deepen the network’s relationships with the industry and artists, and ultimately serve our listeners and supporters even better.”

Franklin Mayor Ken Moore said, “I congratulate K-LOVE on their morning show move to Franklin. Our community loves music and loves positive messages, and will embrace The Skip & Amy Show warmly and with enthusiasm.”

Each year, nearly 4,500 K-LOVE listeners flock to Nashville for the K-LOVE Fan Awards weekend, one of the most popular events in contemporary Christian music. K-LOVE is working now to configure its nearby Franklin studio so the morning show can begin broadcasting from there on Monday, May 18 — the week preceding the 2020 awards program.

Iowa native Amy Baumann has been part of the K-LOVE morning show since 2011. Skip Mahaffey joined K-LOVE in 2016, after being part of the morning show at country station KPLX in Dallas. Mahaffey is a three-time CMA Air Personality of the Year, and has worked at stations including KVOO, WFUS, and WQYK.
