Ratings were up double-digits for all three of ESPN’s Little League World Series Championship games on ABC this past weekend, according to metered market ratings from Nielsen. Sunday’s Little League World Series Championship Game, in which Japan won its fourth title, generated a 2.1 rating, up 24 percent from a 1.7 for the 2016 title game.
On Saturday, the United States Championship Game, in which Texas claimed the title, generated a 2.0 rating, up 11 percent from a 1.8 last year. Additionally, the International Championship Game, which saw Japan advance, drew a 1.7 rating, up 31 percent from a 1.3 in 2016.
Overall, the three ABC broadcasts averaged a 1.9 metered market rating, up 19 percent from a 1.6 last year. The three-game streaming average was 24,200 viewers, which was up 89 percent from 12,800 in 2016.
