Twin Cities Radio: Tom Barnard Adding To Podcast Network

Tom Barnard's podcasting network is adding new talent to the mix, according to twincities.com.

The longtime Classic Rock KQRS 92.5 FM morning show host is welcoming four new podcasts to his growing Tom Barnard Network (which is independent from his radio work). In the coming weeks, look for podcasts from well-known local media personalities including Rusty Gatenby and Tommy Mischke.

"We saw that there were a lot of talented people out there looking for an outlet, and it's a very unique, fun and creative way to do things," Barnard's nephew Sean Barnard, a radio veteran and general manager of the network, said about the podcasts.

The new weekly podcasts include Kailen Rosenberg's "The Love Happy Hour" with producer Kelly Guest starting April 25. A nationally known matchmaker and relationship expert, Rosenberg owns a Wayzata-based company, is an author and co-hosts "Lovetown, USA" on Oprah's OWN Network.

"The Rusty Gatenby Review" with local entertainment reporter Melinda Jacobs is a video podcast debuting May 8 with Gatenby, formerly with KSTP-TV, and Jacobs talking about the latest in entertainment.

On May 12, two shows will be rolled out -- "The Mischke Roadshow," hosted by Tommy Mischke, formerly of KSTP-AM and WCCO-AM; and another dealing with financial news and advice.

The podcasts will have their own websites and also will be found on Barnard's site: Click Here
