NBC Sports Radio will broadcast live from the 26th Annual American Century Championship, the premiere celebrity golf tournament.
The event, owned and produced by NBC Sports and sponsored by American Century Investments, features some of sports’ and entertainment’s biggest celebrities and raises funds for local and national charities. The event features a record purse of $625,000. The tournament is a 54-hole modified Stableford format that features some of sports’ and entertainment’s greatest celebrities.
NBC Sports Radio will broadcast two of its weekday programs live Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17 from Edgewood and Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Mark Malone, co-host of Under Center with McNabb & Malone (3-7 pm, ET/12 noon-3 pm PT) will broadcast live from the driving range on Thursday and Friday. Going Deep with Amani and Dan (10 pm-1 am, ET/7 pm-10 pm PT), hosted by former NY Giant wide receiver Amani Toomer and Dan Schwartzman, will engage listeners with reports and celebrity interviews from the Lounge at Harrah’s on Thursday and Friday. Weekend coverage will include Safety Blitz with Rodney Harrison and Dan Schwartzman and more reporting from NBC Sports Radio’s Brian Webber, live from the driving range at 3 pm ET/12 noon PT.

Entertainment superstar Justin Timberlake makes his ACC debut among an impressive lineup of more than 80 celebrities who are scheduled to appear, including NBC Sports Radio host Rodney Harrison (Safety Blitz with Rodney Harrison and Dan Schwartzman), 2015 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Jerome Bettis; Pro Football Hall of Famers Emmitt Smith, John Elway, Steve Young, and Jerry Rice; MLB Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, and John Smoltz; A.J. Hawk; Alfonso Ribeiro; Bode Miller; Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney; Charles Barkley; Kevin Nealon, Mike Eruzione, Dan Jansen; Roger Clemens; and many more.
NBC Sports Radio is now in its third full year and reaches more than 400 affiliated stations.
