Chicago Radio: Marty Bender to Depart WSHE-FM

Citing family and personal reasons, WSHE 100.3 FM Program Director Marty Bender is leaving the Hubbard AC station.

Bender will remain while a search is conducted for his successor.  He'll also continue as a station consultant.

Bender has been with WSHE (formerly WILV) for two years.

He is best known as the longtime Operations Director for Clear Channel Indianapolis. One of his stations, WFBQ-FM, was #1 for 70 straight Arbitron ratings books under his leadership, and the winner of an amazing 14 Marconi radio awards.

In addition to his time in Indianapolis, the Midwestern radio veteran has worked for stations in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Detroit.
